Jessica Talley

Jessica T.

Jessica earned a Bachelors of Science in Health Studies from Boston University in 1995, and graduated from Boston University with a Master of Science degree in Physical Therapy in 1997. She grew up in New York, and following a clinical internship in Spokane, returned after graduation to start her career and make the Inland Northwest her home. She has been working in a variety of settings since graduation, including inpatient rehabilitation, acute pediatric and adult hospital-based care, and home-health care and now returning to pediatrics with the Stepping Stones team. With over 20 years of experience with a wide variety of diagnoses and ages, from newborns through centenarians, she loves working with kids of all ages, as well as their families, to make the most of every day. The rest of the time, Jessica is busy with family, doing home and yard projects, learning new sports, traveling, and cooking as little as possible.

Jayme was born and raised in Yakima, WA prior to moving to Seattle to attend Seattle Pacific University where she majored in Biology. Jayme received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Eastern Washington University. She began her career at Sacred Heart Medical Center where she treated adults and pediatrics with a variety of orthopedic, neurological, general surgical, and cardiac conditions. When not at work, Jayme spends most of her time leading Young Life at Ferris High School, playing sports, being with friends and family, reading, or traveling.

Christina Hodges

Christina Hedges Christina is a physical therapist and co-owner of Stepping Stones. She graduated from Eastern Washington University’s Doctorate of Physical Therapy program in 2007 with an emphasis in pediatrics and neuro. Before discovering her love of home health pediatrics, she worked in a variety of settings including: orthopedic, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury and stroke units, adult and pediatric aquatics, geriatric long term care, and inpatient and outpatient pediatrics. A child at heart, Christina spends her free time camping, hiking, snowshoeing, biking, and kayaking with her husband and kiddos.

Ilene Morphis

Ilene graduated from Loma Linda University in California with her Master’s degree in Physical Therapy in 2001. Her work has been primarily in the field of home health early intervention, along with clinic based pediatrics, and a preschool setting. She is Multi-lingual (Spanish), and especially loves working with young babies, helping them develop as they go through the stages of gross motor development. Since moving to Post Falls, ID in 2009, she has been working with Stepping Stones Pediatric Therapy and loves living in the beautiful Northwest. When she is not working, she enjoys sitting in her hammock reading a book, sitting by a fire, camping, hiking, and traveling the world with her husband.

Courtney Reed

Courtney is a Spokane native who graduated from Washington State University with her Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology with a minor in Spanish. She later moved to Denver, Colorado where she earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Regis University. Courtney has clinical experience in early intervention pediatrics, outpatient pediatrics and orthopedics. She has a passion for working with children and utilizes an individualized and imaginative approach to helping them to achieve their highest potential. Outside of work, she enjoys being outdoors exploring all that nature has to offer, snowboarding, trail running with her husband and their dog, and spending time with family and friends.

Erin Johnson

Erin received her Bachelor’s in Biology from Central Washington University in 2010 where she also played on the volleyball team. After working for several years as an aide in an outpatient physical therapy clinic, Erin returned to school and earned her Physical Therapist Assistant degree from Spokane Falls Community College in 2015. Since graduation, Erin has worked in pediatrics with trainings in neurodevelopmental treatment, kinesiotaping, and DIR/Floortime. Erin was born and raised in Spokane and is so excited to be back in Spokane after spending four years in Alaska. In her spare time, Erin enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters, coaching and playing volleyball, and going camping.

Mackinsey was born and raised in Eastern Oregon before moving to Portland where she received her Bachelors in Health Studies from Portland State University in 2015. After working as an aid in an outpatient physical therapy clinic for about a year, Mackinsey moved to Spokane where she received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Eastern Washington University in 2020. In her down time, Mackinsey enjoys traveling, attending sporting events, snowboarding and spending quality time with her friends, family and two sweet St. Bernards.

Maddy was born in Spokane and raised on a farm just outside of Rosalia, WA, prior to moving to Pullman to attend Washington State University where she received her Bachelors degree in Kinesiology in 2017. After working for a year as an aide in an outpatient physical therapy clinic, Maddy moved to Newberg, OR where she received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from George Fox University in 2021. Maddy discovered her passion for working with children at a young age through her high school’s mentorship program where she was able to spend weekly time with kids from the local elementary school. In her down time Maddy enjoys driving tractors and semi’s on her family farm, working cows with her dad, helping her mom with projects and flowers around her pond, attending all the sporting events she can, and spending time with her family and friends.

Brittney was born and raised in Spokane, WA. She graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Kentucky State University in 2018 where she also played for the softball team. She then moved back to the PNW and graduated from Pacific University with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2021. Brittney has clinical experience in pediatrics, acute care, and neurologic rehab. She has always had a passion for working with children and looks forward to building a career around helping kids reach their highest potential. In her free time, she enjoys going camping, paddle boarding, baking, spending time with friends and family, and hanging out with her dogs.

Serena Coleman

Serena graduated from the University of Utah with a Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy in 2000. After providing direct care for a young man with a severe brain injury for over a year and working as a fellow in the Brain Injury Day Treatment Program at NYU, Serena decided to pursue a degree in PT. She has a passion for a neurological treatment approach and has implemented this in her treatments with patients in a variety of clinical settings including pediatrics, chronic pain, and orthopedics for over 20 years. Recently, Serena has completed several trainings in Dynamic Movement Intervention (DMI), a pediatric neurologically based treatment modality, and she is certified through Introductory C level. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband, 2 children and their dogs as well as doing lots of yoga.

Julia Baker

Julia is a Spokane native and received her Bachelors of Science in Human Physiology from Gonzaga University in 2015. Before attending graduate school she worked as a preschool teacher in an early learning center. She moved to Utah to ski and pursue her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions, graduating in 2018 before returning to Spokane to be closer to family. Julia has a wide variety of experience including acute care, neurological, orthopedics, sports medicine, and pediatrics in the outpatient, early intervention and school-based settings. Outside of work Julia enjoys all types of outdoor activities, cooking/baking, watching Disney movies, and spending time with her family.

Baylee Jones

Baylee was born and raised in Yakima, WA.  She started playing soccer at age 4 and hasn’t stopped.  She moved to Seattle to plya soccer and then to Spokane to attend EWU.  She graduated in 2015 with a Bachelors in Exercise Science, then graduated from the PTA program at SFCC in 2023.  Her physical therapy journey started as an aide in the outpatient ortho world, but as a student, pediatrics quickly won over her heart.  When she’s not working, you can catch her coaching and/or play soccer, being near or on bodies of water or hanging out with family and friends.
